Fasteners that don’t do JACK SHIT when you take them out!

See those two screws up there, that look like they’re holding the latch in place of the armrest/center console lid? Yeah, looks like it’ll come right out.

WRONG.

Stupid carwash, making me reach across to the passenger mirror to fold it in, making my love handle push the console lid just far enough to the right to snap off the latch.

Grr. Y U NO CUM RIGT OFF SO I CAN GLUE U?????

It must be a universal thing, because the same thing is on my ‘07 Accord. Took it apart on a road trip to see if I could maybe fix some fabric that had come loose. Took me from Lafayette to the I-65 & I-80 junction to give up. :/
